About Us

Kyle Farms was founded by Matt and DJ's parents David and Jeanne Kyle over 35 years ago.  After the death of David Kyle, the flock was downsized to a small 4-H flock.  After attending Cornell University and spending time shearing in New Zealand, Matt began to grow the flock and seek out varied marketing opportunities.

The Kyle Farms family is currently made up of recently married Matt and Shannon, Matt's brother DJ and his wife Alexis, and their cousin Nate and his wife Kelly.  Kyle Farms welcomes the next generation of Kyle Farms with the birth of Emma Kyle and Jameson Hatch.

Kyle Farms website is maintained by Anne, a veterinary student at Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.  She also runs the Kyle Farms All Natural Lamb program and is who you speak to when calling our contact number.  She was roped in to working for Kyle Farms by a friend of a friend of a shearer from Massachusetts, spent a summer lambing out ewes and continues to do the odd technology jobs for Kyle Farms, while running the website and lamb sales.

Kyle Farms continues to grow as we increase our selection of quality lambs through utilizing terminal sire breeds and maternal replacements.  We are currently working on increasing wool marketing opportunities in the Northeast.   We strive to be a model for efficient, productive lamb production, while providing quality lamb to our customers.

All the forages fed to our ewes and lambs are harvested by the farm locally.  The late spring and fall lambs nurse from ewes on lush, green pastures.

Lambs are finished on locally grown and harvested grains to provide the best nutrition possible for their growth and development.  This ensures a quality lamb for your table.
